Research in Indonesia
Indonesia is a good place to do a reseach. You will find many things in the area of reseach. The area of research ranges from Natural Science to Social Sciences. In the area of geology, for example, you will find many research sites, all Indonesia land with the abundance of vulcanos, ocean, forests, rivers, vegetation etc. In the area of economics, you will find the dynamic objects of economic institution and people activity. In political area, you will get interesting research. In any other area of research you will find interesting objects.
Before doing the research, there are some requirements that you should comply first in order to ease your research and make you enjoy the life of Indonesia. For the foreign researchers, there is a standard guidline in conducting research in Indonesia. The first thing you have to get is the permission from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). You have to submit the necessary documents to get this permission, such as:
- A formal letter of request to do research in Indonesia,
- Two letters of recommendation,
- Letter(s) of support from Indonesian Counterpart (an Indonesian academic institution and/or a Research & Development Centre).
- A letter guaranteeing sufficient funds to cover research and living expenses in Indonesia and fees for the Indonesian Counterpart(s).
- Health certificate
- A letter of recommendation from Indonesian Representative abroad.
- If you want to bring your families must submit a copy of marriage certificate and your family (children) birth certificates,
